The Great Wave off Kanagawa is a woodblock print done between 1829 and 1833 by artist Katsushika Hokusai, in Japan's late Edo period. Although stylized, the artist captured the waves in a form of violent elegance.
This giant movement becomes the center piece of the painting and inspired us to capture this movement in an elegant turmoil of individual waves.
Powerful yet elegant - we hope this painting will speak to you the way it spoke to us!
